Suze’s Musings: Ahhh Summer time!

It is a beautiful sunny say, and I missed my swim at noon because the “busyness” won.

Between clients ,this picture arrived on my phone, reminding me of a fun road trip last summer with my cousin munching on smoked salmon with capers and cucumbers and the wonderful energy of the lake. It helped me focus on filling myself up with good food for my body, my mind, and my soul.

I may have opted to miss my swim, but I know the sunshine on the hill will be lovely.

I’ve pulled some salmon out of the freezer to BBQ, and I’ll have capers and cucumbers. I’m headed out for a walk and a sit and a picnic on the side of the hill.

It’s summertime – enjoy the sunshine and the fresh food and let the crazy-making “busyness” go.

Where did THIS come from? Why is THIS happening to me? More crazy-making questions…when we try to answer these questions from the down-side of the line, we spin ourselves into more of the same. Instead, decide it is an “IS”, and then move forward from where you are right now. It doesn’t make sense to drive down the road looking in the rearview mirror. Once you “arrive” where you want to BE energetically, then you can look back from that solid place for any learning – but first get yourself to the supportive side of the line!

Suze’s Muzings: Your conscious mind in training

I am a swimmer. I love the way my body feels as I glide through the water, and my days are always better when I can begin with a kilometer swim. My mind relaxes into a deep meditative space with the repetitive back and forth, back and forth as I complete 40 lengths. I often incorporate the “word of the day” daily practice into my swim, and today I discovered a new twist!

Each time I crossed the centerline of the pool, I focused on another example of that feeling in my life, or someone I would describe as being that way, or a way I could increase that attribute with ease in my life.

The more you can consciously train your mind in the direction you desire, the more powerful your subconscious mind will be in supporting you in achieving your goals.

Suze’s Musings: I am learning a lot!

I’m learning a lot.

At a time in my city when major rescuing, rebuilding and rethinking is the daily norm, I am humbled by the efforts of the volunteers who step forward. Fear has not been an option. Moving forward is the only choice. We could wonder why this had to happen to us. We could lament about the losses, or wring our hands over the huge road ahead. Or we can take one step, in the direction that makes sense. Fear – it is the only thing that has ever, or will ever hold you back. Courage, belief, trust – one breathe at time. And then you decide where you want to focus and take a step in that direction.

With gratitude for everyone who is willing to suit up and show up,
